STEM, Biz & Kids is a blog that aims to summarize and update parents, teachers and educators with information that serves to help kids to learn STEM and entrepreneurship skills. This blog emphasizes on the holistic STEM and entrepreneurship learning by the child as an individual, and therefore not meant to directly implement entire classrooms.
This blog is NOT a resource for kids to learn these subject areas, as there are already plenty of these websites out there. This blog is a resource for parents and educators for updates regarding the gaps and holes that education needs to fill today, and about STEM and Business skills that really matter out there on the internet. The goal of this blog is to help parents find the relevant 'needles' in the haystack of the internet.
About the Author:
Afiqah Ayauf graduated with a BSc. Chemistry with minors in Biology and Mathematics from Wichita State University. She tutors college level chemistry and has experience teaching middle and high school kids computers, mathematics and science. She emphasizes on cultivating lifelong learning in the child as an individual, and leaves the task of teaching entire classrooms to schools. She is ACSI certified for teaching Chemistry but loves teaching Math, Biology, Technology, Computers and applies Game-based Learning and Project-based Learning principles that help her students grasp relevant concepts and skills.
She loves to read, research, teach and write all about STEM and business fields and loves to share the stuff she learned. She also enjoys cooking and baking adventurous recipes and learning new stuff on the internet and Kindle Unlimited.
