The Periodic Table

1. The orange group is called the alkali metals.
2. The blue group is called the alkaline earth metals.
3. The green group is called the transition metals.
4. The yellow group is called the post-transition metals and metalloids.
5. The red group is called the other metals group.
6. The purple group is called the halogens group.
7. The indigo group is called the noble gases group.
8. The brown group is the lanthanoids group.
9. And the mauve/pink group is the actinoids group.
The red group (other metals) and yellow group (post transition metals and metalloids group) are more frequently categorized as column groups of the top element in the group.
The Boron group consists of Boron (B), Aluminum (Al), Gallium (Ga), Indium (In), and Thallium (Th). The Carbon group consists of Carbon (C), Silicon (Si), Tin (Sn), and Lead (Pb).
The Nitrogen group consists of Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), Arsenic (As), Antimony (Sb), and Bismuth (Bi). All of these elements are the different types of atoms that are known on earth and beyond.
